Sally Hansen HD (pic heavy)

I've just realized how pretty the Sally Hansen HD polishes are.
The Hi-Definition Nail Color is infused with liquid crystals to enhance the resolution, brightness, and true color of these polishes.

I've had them for a few months and just saw them on one of my display shelves and really noticed them for the first time.
Sally Hansen Hi-Definition Nail
The best thing about them all is that I got all but 2 of them at a local discount grocery/salvage store for $0.99 each; I got the other 2 on clearance at Rite Aid for $1.27 each!

Swatches of each on bare nail, over black, and white after the jump!
Colors from left to right: Cyber, Byte, LCD, Wavelength, Hue, Resolution, Spectrum, DVD, Laser

Cyber is a grapey purple with a little bit of pinkish purple shimmer.
Over white (index finger), Cyber looks kind of like a lilac at a disco.
Over black (middle finger), is my favorite; it's a deep purple with TONS of shine and the shimmer is really amplified.
Over bare nail, it look very dull and there is VNL even with 3 coats.

Byte is a pretty pinkish fuschia glass fleck polish with some flashes of purple (see first picture).
Over white it just looks pink and sparkly; kind of meh.
Over black it's a completely different color; it's kind of a bluish purple.
Over the bare nail, Byte looks close to the bottle color. Byte still has VNL under 3 coats; 4 might have done the trick but I like it either way.
It's prettier than over white but not as striking as it is over black.

LCD is a pink, sparkly glass fleck with the occasional flash of blue.
Over white, it's pale and sheer, which is something I hate.
Over black, it's a beautiful blue and pink duochrome; it resembles Byte.
Over the nail, LCD is true-to-bottle and still very pretty. It's still sheer at 3 coats and doesn't build up too well, so I don't think VNL will ever go away.

Wavelength is my favorite bottle color out of all of these.
Wavelength is a pretty melony-orange.
It looks a lot like a watermelon slush from Sonic.
There really isn't a lot of glitter in this one like there are in the others.
Over white it just looks an coral shimmer.
Over black it looks like an oil spill on a driveway.
Over the bare nail is my favorite.
There's VNL at 4 coats, but it doesn't bother me. The polish is really sheer so the NL will be there regardless on this one.

Hue is a yellow shimmer with a pearl-like finish.
Over white it looks like a bright yellow.
Over black it looks green.
On bare nail I don't like it. This is only one coat; I would have done 2 but I was in a hurry.

Resolution is a green-gold metallic shimmer that looks kind of blue-green in some lights.
It has the same pearl finish as Hue.
Over white it's blue-green.
Over black it looks more green than in any other picture.
Over bare nail it looks about the same as it does in-bottle.

Spectrum is a jelly blue shimmer. There isn't much more that I can say about it.
Over white it looks pearly.
Over black it changes to a royal blue/purple
Over bare nail is close to bottle color but it just looks weird to me.
There is VNL with 2 coats.

DVD is kind of a periwinkle blue.
Over white it looks like an ashy grey.
Over black, it really looks like you would want it to when you see it in the bottle.
On bare nail it has potential but the lack of opacity is a negative for me.

And finally, we have Laser.
Laser is a deep blue shimmer.
I'll just save my time and say that this is absolutely beautiful any way its worn, but if you wear it over bare nail I'd recommend 3-4 thick coats just because it's so sheer.

Overall, I love this collection and I wish I had the other colors.
These are all very pretty and very sparkly with the exception of Wavelength, Resolution, and Hue.
The formula is nice and smooth. These all require several coats, but I recommend them nonetheless.
